I am considering a gaming system for our kids, but I don't know anything about them. Any suggestions for me? Are they worth it, which one is good, will they play together?

Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and GameCube are all good choices. Pass on the PS3 and PS2 altogether because the other systems are better in every way. I would suggest the Xbox 360 or the Wii seeing how they are the newest and coolest consoles out. The GameCube and the Nintendo Wii were made specifically for the younger crowd, but the Xbox 360 is never a bad choice. But seeing how it is for your little ones I would go for the GameCube($100) or Nintendo Wii($250), because the games are for ages 4-12. The Xbox 360 has games for children but is directed more toward teens and adults. The 360 has more games with violence than the others do, and I know that some parents do not want their sons or daughters playing them. I love the Xbox and Xbox 360, but I suggest the Nintendo Wii or GameCube.

The best way to go is any nintendo system. nintendo creates more games for everybody than any other system. any good games would be any Mario games too. There games such as Mario Party, Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, and much more and any racing or sport games all have more than one player. there are plenty of non-violent games for the Nintendo.

If you want them to play together than do not get Nintendo DS, game boy or any other hand-held systems. But these are also good choices.

If you want to get them the Nintendo Wii as a gift this holiday season you should by it the moment it comes out. Walmart, Bestbuy or any place like this will have people lined up wating to get there hands on it. The cost is $250 everywehere. It only comes with one controller so you will need to buy another one. It also comes with Will Sports which is a collection of differnt sports games. You can also buy games (or pre-order) them at

Out of the new game consoles that have emerged in the market, the Nintendo Wii (pronounced "wee") would be the better choice. While the Sony Playstation3 and Xbox 360 would be worthwhile buys, their game focus is for more of an adult audience. Nintendo has always churned out games for the "younger" generation, mostly in a 2D format. Otherwise, try to find a Gameboy or the hand-held Sony PSP. After that, you just have to find games that you think are suitable for your children. They ususually have the rating stamped on the front of the game box.

Well, you could buy them that educational one called the V-tech or V-smile or something. I work retail, and that seems to be the popular one for young kids. The playstation and xbox seem to have more games meant for the mature crowd. I also hear the nintendo wii has some good games for younger kids too, but good luck getting that one:). You can find the V-tech in the toy department at your local Wal-Mart. Its like a video game with a fun educational twist.

A v-smile sounds great for that crowd of children. Plus, it has educational games. You can also get a gamecube or wii. They're the cheapest and great for kids and adults alike! If you can't get a wii, just settle with a gamecube or v-smile. Don't forget to monitor how long they are playing these games! An hour a day is enough for children. Check the sites I listed below for info about the gamecube, wii, and v-smile.

I very own all 3 systems yet Im an XBOX fan so i'd say xbox however the youngsters are a sprint youthful for lots of the xbox titles. Gamecube doesnt have as super a interest library as ps2 or xbox yet is extra youngster friendly gamewise. ps2 lands someplace interior the midsection yet nonetheless has an astounding sort of mature titles. bypass with a gamecube.

You should get the Nintendo Wii that is coming out. It is probably PERFECT for kids that age. It is very interactive, so your kids wont become couch potatoes because they are getting up and moving.
