To be outstanding among the other players. So the referee wont be confused. If the goal keeper is wearing the same jersey, the defender can use their hands to block the ball if the referee or lines man are not looking carefully. Just my point of view. =D

Its that all the other players who wear the dress different from the goal keepers dress should not take the ball in His hands even in the D area because only the goal keeper has the right to take the ball in his hand while the ball was in the D area inorder to differenciate and avoid the problems because of the action of the other player to save the game they will take the ball and can give it to the Goal Keeper this will create a lot of Problem so that inorder to differentiate between the team and the Goal Keeper to help the Umpire the Goal keeper has given different dress
this answer is correct

It's to distinguish him from all the other players. This was started because a team could have a defender save the shot and say to the ref that they had switched positions with the GK. this way, the man wearing the different shirt is the goalkeper.

This is so he stands out from them so no mistakes are made. The rule was originally put forward in the 1960's so people watching black and white tellys could tell the difference.
I guess its just stuck as a rule.
Hope this helps.

For easy identification. Because the goalie is always different from the outfield players, and thus must be properly identified as so.
