If so, what do you think it would be?

Yes I know our Government are doing things that I do not approve, for instant, Bush using the deaths of 9/11 as his gateway to Iraq's oil. I am just curious to know what other folks out there think on this subject and what they think could be going on. Some folks do not think our Government is capable of doing the unspeakable things that other countries are doing.

Folks, you need to do your research if you do not think the war we are now in with Iraq is not about the oil. The US Government supported Saddam in his presidency of Iraq and gave them weapons to help Iraq fight against Iran. When Saddam was going to prevent the US from getting the oil that is when our Government decided we needed to invade. Click on this link and you will see Iraq is about the oil. I love our country but I do not always agree with what our Government is doing especially when they stoop to tell us lies about what they are really doing.

I think the government, particularly the politicians with ties to oil, actually did 9/11 as an excuse to get their hands on the oil in the middle east.

Yes.....historically the "Secret War in Laos"springs to mind.

President Clinton secretly meeting with space aliens on the White House lawn. Oh wait, I think I saw that at a supermarket checkout lane so I guess it's not a secret anymore.

But the 1st example is true.

And a note to American and the surprise dropping of a nuke on Hiroshima..... Certainly is was a bigger surprise to the citizens o that city.

Also to Coffee240....switch to decaf for a while. I am pretty sure the current year is 2006 and not how long our government has been doing secret things without our knowledge.

The Government is always keeping secrets. Don't you know that by now? There is sh!t being done underground, overground and around the ground. And to be honest with you----as far as I am concerned as an American Citizen, NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING that the Government would do or is doing would not shock me for one little instant. They don't tell the American people nothing until it gets to the point where they can't hide it anymore. That goes for the entire Government. The Congress, Dems, Repubs all of them. I stop watching the news years ago. I basically and just tired of listening to depressing sh!t! You rarely hear about any good news. So why should I sink myself into a depression because people including the Government are just taking it upon themselves to do what they want. All I want to know is the time of day and the weather. The rest can go do ducks!

They do it all the time. It's their jobs.
I was rather shocked to discover they actually estimate a % of the deaths of soldiers when in combat or going on missions. That they expect to lose X amount of men during the missions.
That they hid area 57 was a shock and that the $700 hammer actually financed part of area 57.
That torture and interrogation REALLY IS a part of war, and it's done on both sides, not just one or the other. And anyone who believes differently hasn't opened their eyes to the facts of war.
Talk to anyone who was a POW and they'll tell you all you need to know about it.
That the killing of civilians is part of the collateral damage in wars. No one wants to kill innocents, but it happens in the fall out and can't be avoided in 90% of the situations.

I think that our CIA is actively looking for bin Laden, and that's why Bush is pretending that we don't care about him anymore. It would make sense.
See, if WE knew about the operations, our ENEMIES would know about the operations. But we don't know.
We probably have agents in every country where Osama is suspected of being, and we probably even have a couple of agents who have infiltrated al Qaeda.
That would shock the American people, but it wouldn't shock me at all.

For the record, I do not believe that our government had a hand in 9/11 at all.

Yes. Just read about the CIA.
Overthrowing other governments or at least causing cultural upheavals so the other government can't stick to its wicked plans.

Nothing the gov't does surprises me.

The US gov't has hundreds of secret projects going on behind our back. I'm sure they are creating weapons that will really shock us when we get to see them...such as laser based weapons.

I watched X-Files this morning and they destroyed an alien human hybrid just to keep the Japs from getting the technology.

I know they are capable of some wicked things.
