Umm how about starting it like this?
For as long as I can remember . I used to love taking baths as a child so that I could swim but then I guess you could have called it floating, lol. I would dream about becoming an olympic swimmer and winning the gold. Ok, look this one is kinda hard since I have no back ground on you. But write about your family supporting you swimming, your first time you got to swim and where. Write about what kind of swimming you like best, ie, back stroke, freestyle, etc. Write why you love the sport and where you hope to go, if anywhere with it. start it from you childhood and go with it. You will find that it will come easier this way. If you loved watching Bay Watch just because they saved lives, I don't know but you just need to start it and then go from there. Another suggestion, how many hours per day/week do you swim and what is your diet like in order to be at your best. Do you have to get X amount of hours of sleep? How do you fit it into your school schedual. Ok, I think you get the idea, now go and write that paper and ask yourself questions and answer them. Good Luck!

talk about the different strokes that can be done.

- Use the competitive swimming strokes, even if you can't do all of them (freestyle; backstroke; butterfly; breast stroke)
- position of the fingers or the shape of the hand for the best power through the water
- what muscles do you think are used most? What area of the body does swimnming help as an excersize?
- life savers use a side stroke (australian crawl) to rescue people - or do you know other life saving strokes?
- difference of swimming in a pool. beach. lake. river

just show you have a knowledge of the part of swimming that interests you.
