Given the Syrian, Iranian and Hezbollah's constant claim of innocence in the killing of the former Lebanese prime minister, why then is hezbollah doing its best to veto the inquiry?
Now I know the answer, i'm not dumb, i know that they, syria and maybe iran are behind the killing, no doubt anymore. But what is the formal excuse hizbollah is giving to the veto. Surely they should have a descent excuse before doing so, surely they dont want people believing they are the murderers. nevertheless, i could find no documentation on it, does anyone know?

Hizbulla is so attached to Syria and Iran As we know that Hasan Nasrallah is use to be student in the Iran school and he loves Iran very much and so is Syria but why is going to use the veto .i think that he asks him self what is the aim of all this investigation the man is killed and there is a lot of assassination happened before and after him the why this one specially everybody wanna know how and why he is been killed he thinks that America and the euro union is behind the inquiry to get Syria in the problem and force her to obey the role of the states in the middle east and Hizbulla doesn’t want that to happened so that’s why i think .....

The main reason is that Syria and Iran are allies to Hizbollah.
Both the Iranians and Hizbollah are Shias and their main goal is to wipe Israel of the map. Iran is providing Hizbollah with weapons and money which is smuggled through Syria.

Syria wants' the Golan Heights back and they allows the smuggling in order to have a strong Hizbollah threatening Israels northern border which can be used as a triumph card in negotations.

that's the short version of the politics regarding Hizbollah and because of that, it wouldn't benefit Hizbollah if their main allies are implicated in the Hariri case and could be facing sanctions.
That's why Hizbollah wants' to stop it.

They don't want the inquiry to go on because it would implicate them in the assassination.
