If masterbation is a sin, then at least I'll have lots of company in hell.

Masturbation is only a sin depending on how the bible is intrepreted. The bible forbids adultery. To most people, adultery is having sex with someone besides your own spouse. To some rigoursly relegious people, adultery is any sexual activity that does not have potential to produce a child.
You should decide if you think masturbation is a sin on your own.

Indy T got it wrong. Onanism is the word the catholic church uses for masturbation. However Onan was struck deadnot blind, , not for " spilling his seed upon the ground" but for doing it so he would not impregnate his new wife ( his brother's widow) so that he could gain the inheritance of his brothers lands and goods. God struck him dead for cheating a widow out of her inheritance and the comfort of having children to care for her in her old age. However, it should be mentioned that Christ said " if you imagine a sin , you have done it" so consequently if you are imagining fornication or adultery with someone else while playing with yourself you may be sinning according to that interpertation.

It doesn't say those words directly. It is something along the lines of the whole fornicating, lust fullness, body is your temple, God making woman for man . See I believe the Bible would like to set the grounds but the Catholic Churches put their own mix into it. That is why , however, most Bibles are translated differently, but sent with the basic guidelines. The only religion I have ever heard of saying it was a sin or you would go blind is that one.

Actually I believe the issue comes up from Onanism in which Onan's brother could not get his wife preggers and "God" told him to go do the deed. He instead spilled his "seed upon the ground" and was struck blind.
Now many children were taught that masturbation was wrong because of that passage when in actuality the "wrong deed" was that of disobedience, not masturbation.
Just another little lie to support the agenda.........

Depends on what you believe in. I don't believe it's a sin at all. Those that are much more religious believe that it is a sin. You have to go with what you believe if you're trying to determine if you are sinning.
