My husband is constantly making rude noises. All night in bed, he snorts. I've asked him to do something about his sinuses, but he says he can "live with it" - well it drives me batty! When he drinks soda, he loudly sucks it out of the can like a vacuum cleaner. He makes smacking noises when he eats. He was careful not to do those things while we were dating, but we've been married 5 months now and he's freaking driving me bonkers. I ask him to stop, and now he says that everything he does annoys me. Not everything annoys me - just the rude noises and the fact that he's taken up smoking again (I refused to marry him unless he quit because he's much older than I am and I don't want to be widowed too early). He's getting on my last nerve and I don't know how to get him to stop being so rude, without sounding like a nag.

I had and ex-husband that did a couple of nasty things. I thought I could get past this. The longer I heard the noises the more bonkers I got. It started to gross me out so much that I would cringe at every little noise to the point that I had to get the hell away from him!!. Yuk.

Oh yeah, what a great question l am sure you will get some ripper answers for this one. My husband drives me crazy with burping, farting and he can sometimes be a noisy eater, which can be embarrasing. Then again l guess l am also guilty at times with my first two complaints. Anyway l love him enough that l just try to ignore his faults, we all have them after all !!!

sleep in a separate bed room, do not eat at the table with him. He may take the hints. Or buy some breath right nasal strips and just put one on him while he is sleeping.
But if it all really bugs you that much get an annulment.

Well if he was able to contain himself before you married him, he can do something about it now. Bad manners for me is an intolerable issue. I would be upset also, there is no excuse for the lack of manners. Good luck and God bless*

I see only two options here.....live with the rude noises, or divorce him. He's NOT going to stop making them. Good Luck!

Turn the tables... Start belching, farting, grunt while you are eating, don't do anything around the house and then get all did up and go out on the town with out him. Tell him when he can start minding his manners you will to.

I hate the sound of a metal spoon scraping against a china plate making the high-pitched screeching noise. I also hate the metal spoon hitting the metal pan. That one makes me shiver!!

Ask him to make a choice, respect you by not making the rude noises as he did when you were dating, or pay alimony!

men love the noises their bodies make....and make fun of most of them....

but seriously, sit the man down and tell him that these things annoy you...and NO you don't have to live with them, but you chose to share your life with him...not a slob noise maker....

if not..U might consider the alternative.....leaving....

be well...

when you marry someone it is for better or worse,if this is the worst it gets then be happy,it could be something else like him cheating or beating on you, eveyone has annoying habits,if they didn't they would be perfect and no one out there is perfect,i am sure if you asked him if you had any annoying habit he could come up with a few for you....love him for who he is and get over the little stuff...when he is gone you will miss it
