We usually put our tree up on Thanksgiving. It's a great time for me. After a long day of visiting relatives, we come home with full bellies and put up our tree. I let the kids help and usually after that they are tuckered out, then it is mommy & daddy time....lol

We usually put ours up around the 10th of December but I so love Christmas and the Reason for the Season. This year I am so excited about it and I found Christmas bedding with Santa on it and I am going to put up a little tree in the spare bedroom for the grand kids and decorate it only in blues. I can't wait but I won't do it until at least the day after Thanksgiving and enjoy each holiday before starting the next. I believe people have run them all so together and that makes me sad. To see Christmas stuff in stores now is upsetting but some people need the extra time to buy a little at a time and that's ok too. However not saying Merry Christmas fumes me too. This is American and Merry Christmas has worked for years and I am positive if a poll was taken it would be to say yes to the flag and Christmas and In God We Trust. That does not stop them from spending money!!! Oh well I best not get started there it could get ugly. God Bless and keep you and your family!

I start decorating at Thanksgiving. I have an artificial tree that goes up right after Thanksgiving, The real tree goes up 2 weekends before Christmas. It takes 2 or 3 days to finish the big tree, and I leave it up until New Year's Day.

I try to make my husband wait until 3 weeks before Christmas, but usually he takes the kids for one right after thanksgiving, while I'm working and they surprise me when I get home.
Then we all work on decorating the tree together.

We always have a real tree so it goes up about 2 weeks before. I do have a large holiday village and try to put it up at Thanksgiving. My wife makes me wait. It has gotten so big it takes up half the dining room. I am 55 and the kids are all moved out of state. But I am still a big kid at Christmas LOL

The Saturday after Thanksgiving is when we put up our tree every year , we also put up an artificial tree so we do not have to worry about it drying out and looking bad.

For Christmases past, we have always put our tree up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. However, this year, we have been a bit more anxious and we put our tree and decorations up this past weekend. We love the holiday and want to enjoy it for as long as possible. Merry Christmas to you!

I like putting up the tree around the 1st of December but leave it undecorated until the 4th Sunday of Advent.
But I also keep the tree up longer than most; at least until January 6th "Little Christmas" when the Magi arrived.. Which is 12 days after the feast day of Christmas.. that is what the song is all about :)
