Quantum physics is the study of the behavior of matter and energy at the molecular, atomic, nuclear, and even smaller microscopic levels. In the early 20th century, it was discovered that the laws that govern macroscopic objects do not function the same in such small realms.
What Does Quantum Mean?: "Quantum" comes from the Latin meaning "how much." It refers to the discrete units of matter and energy that are predicted by and observed in quantum physics. Even space and time, which appear to be extremely continuous, have smallest possible values.
As scientists gained the technology to measure with greater precision, strange phenomena was observed. The birth of quantum physics is attributed to Max Planck's 1900 paper on blackbody radiation. Development of the field was done by Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Werner Heisenberg, Erwin Schrodinger, and many others. Ironically, Albert Einstein had serious theoretical issues with quantum mechanics and tried for many years to disprove or modify it.

Hmm, i suppose it does exist but not in the way you might think. an objects doesn't posses a colour, they just reflect and absorb different colours from light. eg a banana may seam yellow yet its the object absorbing all other colours from the lights colour spectrum and reflecting only the yellow, thus you see it as the colour yellow. But i suppose with that being said colour is light and well, light is actually a certain amount of rest energy aka mass that has been abolished and converted into energy of motion this process is interchangeable light slows down producing rest energy, so you get mass>light>mass>light . And if something has no mass and no possible texture it is easy for philosophers to have a stab at it, but I'd and Einstein would defiantly say it exists. Fyi: if ive made any mistakes or missed anything out, my bad. As Im just a 16 year old useing a combination Einsteins work and my knowledge. Ive achieved an A* in G.C.S.E science and am currently hacking my way through Einsteins work, so i'd say the description is quite accurate (unless your more informed than i am TT__TT)

Assuming what you mean to ask is "what is Quantum Physics in layman terms?":
Quantum Physics is the branch of physics in which we study the very minute details of the matter, its composition, various laws governing the states of the matter etc. Here we are not dealing in meters, cm or mm but in nanometers & beyond.
Here we study about the electrons, protons, neutrons of which any matter is made up of.
