My picks: Nobody is talking about the LOSER of the Ohio St vs. Michigan game as deserving a shot, since it would be a rematch (50 days later)... yet Texas, who already lost to Ohio State, was certainly in the hunt for a rematch with Ohio State. Even though everyone is keyed on 1-loss teams, the future 1-loss team has gotten virtually no mention.

Also, Arkansas isn't getting any press, but they are the ONLY team in the Top 10 to defeat TWO opponents who are both currently ranked AND ranked when they played. (Texas, Tenn, and BC also defeated two each, but they all have at least 2 losses.) Arkansas plays in the toughest conference in the country, and deserves to be

Rutgers should be a shoe-in if the beat WVU and finish 11-0... but they won't. They would join that list of teams beating two ranked opponents, and would have zero losses... but I'd bet the farm that they will not be given a chance, no matter what they do. They just don't have the history to go with the Cinderella seaso

Rutgers would have to go 12-0. Welcome to 2006, where there are 12 games on the regular season schedule.

OSU-Michigan loser is out, especially with as bad as the Big Ten is this year (8 of the 11 teams blow).

I'd agree Arkansas isn't getting a lot of talk, but you also have to add in the fact that they also had a very big loss when USC went into Fayetteville and blew them out.

When it all comes down to it, it'll be OSU vs. USC (yes, the Trojans will run the table over their last 3) in Glendale for the title.

There could also be the possibility of a rematch of Michigan and Notre Dame, where earlier in the season Michigan man handled the Irish.

I would really like to see more ink about Arkansas and Rutgers, but there is no money there. If they both win out I think they should have good considerations for the title game, but so does the loser of OSU/Michigan, Notre Dame, and even Wisconsin (only loss to Michigan).

We will never know till they bowl selection Sunday (do they do it in one day?), but still fun to talk about!

to the first guy you say that college footbal is all about money, what do you think a playoff would make. donuts. what about flordia they are a strong team also and they have beaten a lot of strong teams to get where they are. if rutgers wins out they should be their period. 0 loses beats 1 no matter what. win or lose in the campionship they deserve a shot. usc shoold be ranked at lest 5th they are no nearly as good as sec teams or my opinion rutgers, but usc will lose to cal or dame. then i wont have to see those idiots anymore. if rutgers loses and everyone wins out. flordia beats arkansas in the sec championship i dont see how they could not make it. by the way im a tennessee fan and i still think flordia deserves it.

With all the flak about the BCS if Rutgers runs the table and goes 11-0 they will have to put them in the National Title game. College football is all about the $$$$$$$ that is why they will never have a playoff.
