I do understand that you are not the ones responsible for America's actions in Iraq, Americans. I am from Egypt and I of course don't agree on the war from the begining, it was like a breach to the Iraqi Sovreingity rights...ridding the Country from Saddam's governemnt is something that people Iraq had to do, and does not require the help of anyother country; in other words, it is an internal affair; and what America did is an interference in the internal affairs of Iraq. It Also caused much damage to both sides, Americans lost lots of soldiers there in vien and it consumed alot of money that could have been used in a better way. Also Iraq now is in a state of disturbance, and I don't see that the American forces are able to control the situation there. Gureilla warfare is not easy to handle...so, since they already did what they wanted, they got rid of Saddam, and established a new government too, they should leave and leave it to the new governement to take care of it, because they already fail to sustain a stable climate there. If they insist to stay, then that can be nothing but occupation, which is of course something that is unacceptable...right?

First of all I am from Russia, recently moved to America ( I learned English while I was going to University back home). And I must say that I can understand Bush's attempt to be a "helping" hand when another nation is in need, but I don't considering it helping when you are doing that through the means of violence, fear, and killing. I think the best way to bring democracy to a nation is to be a good example for them, we are all familiar with the American cliche - practice what you preach....I really don't see them practicing much of democracy over there in Iraq. And you can't really lend a helping hand to someone who refuses it over and over again...give up, lets go save the starving children in broken down orphanages in Russia and Africa instead! It's not fair that Americans are dying and the Iraqi's are not even appreciating that fact. But I do have to give Bush points for trying, he had the right idea, just not the right tactics. I know Russia would have never cared enough to risk the lives of their own soldiers to benefit another nation...even if that nation did have a lot of oil! So at least Americans attempt to appear kind hearted, people in my country have given up on that appearance a long time ago!

Since how Iraq is supposedly an international peace effort, the USA should care.
Several nations have pulled out of the Iraq effort, due to the mess of the occupation. Rueters has done a lot of international polling about the Iraq conflict, and the overwhelming majority of Earth doesn't like the Iraq situation.
If we had more international help(expecially Arab help), then it is possible that interntal Iraqi violence coulde decline

i think the effort to create a democratic and united Iraq has failed, and the US should start supporting the Idea of a federated Iraq, made of 3 states (the Shiites, the sunnies and the Kurds) the US should try to organize the loose federation that is to became the United states of Mesopotamia.
But at the same time the US military presence in Iraq should continue, or the federated country will deteriorate into a full civil war and the neighboring countries will try and take over parts of Iraq.
