How many days early/late was your baby from the due date?

Did your bundle of joy arrive very early or did he/she make you wait for ages?

A due date is just an estimate so a week before or a week later is not early or late. Many Dr's these days will not give a specific date anymore but give a range of 3 weeks.

My first was supposedly due on July 10th but was not born until July 28th. I never thought the estimate they gave was right.

My second was actually born on her estimated due date.

First off I was induced with all 3 of my girls. The 1st was because the doctor was leaving the practice on her due date. The 2nd was 5 days past the due date. The 3rd was born 2 days after the due date. With the 3rd girl she did not want to be born with the !st induction, so we went home and went back to the hospital the next morning at 7am I had her at noon. Good Luck & Congrats on the baby! :)

It depend on which due date! The hospital calculated one (March 8) and our midwife calculated differently using a more accurate syslem making the due date March 18. He was born on March 17!

First time mamas are usually past their due date by a week or two. Remember, normal gestation is 38-42 weeks. The due date is usually around 40 weeks, but carrying for 42 weeks isn't really "late", it's still totally normal!

No matter when your baby is born it will feel like he or she made you wait for ages.

My first was born 5 days late after a 3 day induction.
My second was born 2 days before my due date after 8 hours of being induced.

Good luck.

My boy was 10 days late and it felt like the longest 10 days ever!

Due dates are a pain, I tried not to focus on mine and would instead just thing of it as being due in the 2nd week of Oct but no matter what you do you have that date n your head!

Both of my daughters were born on their due dates. I went into labor at 2 am with my first daughter and 8:30 am with my second. Both born in the early afternoon by C-section.

Hiya, my son was born two weeks before his due date, but my friend had a little girl on sunday and she was 3 days late!!
It all depends on whether they are ready to enter the big wide world......
my brother was a week late and I was a day early. People usually say boys are late but in theory everyone is "on time" because it is when they are ready!!
good luck

The due date the consultant gave me meant my baby was 5 days late, but I don't believe this was the correct date as she worked it out in a hurry as her clinic was running very late. The date given to me by my midwife (two midwives gave me the same date) meant my baby was 2 days late. Both dates were given to me following my 12 week dating scan.

I was 12 days late and my mom made the midwife break her water and was born 8 hours later. My mom says that she knew when I was due because she knew the morning after my conception that she was pregnant. According to her dates, she was right, the doctor was wrong with the due date.
