Hi, Im looking at getting a pci-express graphics card but I only have normal pci slots. I was wondering if there was a converter I could stick in my pci slot and then attach the pci express card to that?

no im sorry,i wish there was,but pci-express technology is the latest type of graphic interface, which took over a.g.p(accelerated graphic port)
you can either invest in a pci-express motherboard, but if you dont have either pci-e or a.g.p (only pci) then i reckon you have a motherboard that uses sd-ram and this will mean you will have to buy a motherboard, new ddr-ram,and finally your pci-express card,oh yes and a brand new processor,so this will come to a lot of money
why not look at some of the pci graphic cards that will fit in your standard pci slot.they do a nvidia ge-force fx5200 card in pci-bus format and these cards are great for gaming and watching dvd,s
take a look at http://www.dabs.com/productlist.aspx?&NavigationKey=11137&NavigationKey=41600000&CategorySelectedId=11137&PageMode=1,there are a good selection of pci graphic cards at a reasonable price
good luck

A new board will probably mean new cpu/ram as well,as your current setup will probably not be compatible.
