I don't know if this is a serious question. Objectively, I would say flight, but if my children were involved, I might say fight - until the situation is obviously hopeless. After Srbenica - a mother, no idea what has happened to her husband, (his body is probably among the thousands still being discovered) - with three young children. Does she flight or take flight?
It's so easy to say 'These people should stay and fight,' if you can't imagine the situation 'these people' were in. Most would dearly like to be in their home country, if it were possible.

My instinct is always to fight, however now I am 37 I am trying to change into flight, no more walking through groups of lads just to prove to myself that this puff can fight.

do you want me to just pick one or explain what it means?

well it's the idea that in times of danger, humans and animals have a fight or flight instinct. they either stand up and try to fight the dominant figure or they run (flight.)

Depends, if you mean what to do if faced by a threatening situation, then you must quickly decide if you could win, if not then fly away as quickly as possible. If you mean what to do in a real life situation (when your body takes control of your mind) when your mouth goes dry when you feel cold but you are sweating, when you feel as though you will pass out, and you are rooted to the spot, you can`t move or speak. In this situation you have no choice you act without thinking. Many a Victoria Cross has been won by men in this situation.

There are three simple rules in a dangerous situation.

Rule 1) Run

Rule 2) when confronted by more then one antagonist, get them to argue among themselves, then run.

Rule 3) When it becomes apparent that the situation negates running, fight as though your very life depends on it. Because it probably does.

Depends on the situation the person is put in doesn't it.

You might be in the situation where you need to *fight* for your life to get out of it.

or

You might be in the situation where you need to take *flight* to save your life.

Your internal instincts will tell you which you need to do at the time.

u'd have to weight up the options very quickly, fights are usually only quite brief so if its fight, fight fast, if the first blows a good one then you wont have much to worry about, if you need to run then run very fast and preferably before the fight starts and you get to close quarters... but if you can talk your way out of a beating without running from it then thats always better
