it really does depends on the situation, like you ever heard "your intuition will never let you down? well every time I don't follow my gut everything goes wrong, and there I go saying the "shoulda, coulda, woulda, speech". So it really depends, but I try to play out what makes sense with my gut feeling and honestly the two of those won' t be opposite, or steer you in the wrong direction, my gut feeling is usually what makes sense, its me being hard headed and doing what i want or prefer.

it does depend. if there's equal consequences either way, follow your gut. if your gut seems irrational, follow what makes sense.
