I would like your opinions....LOW CARB diets (ie Atkins, South Beach, etc.) vs all the LOW FAT diets ..... and why??? What do you think makes one more effective than the other??? I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT, or I can't go on! It seems I am addicted to sweets (never was before), and all I crave and have to have is junk foods!

Actually although the South Beach Diet is Low Carb, it just that for the beginning two Phases to clear and cleanse out all the toxins in your system. What I would suggest is try the South Beach Diet *( I am on it right now and it's hard however, I'm going to do it this time, and I dont' want to fail.) Limit yourself to ONE no sugar fugde pop a night, only 80 calories and SO flavorful. You crave junk foods because thats all your eating! Cleanse our the toxins in your body and within only 2 weeks on the south beach you won't crave them so much. SWEAR! I'm just like you, but I want chips all the time and crackers!!!

Try substituting fruit for anything sweet and sugary for a couple of days before you start a diet, to help with the cravings. Refined sugar hits your blood stream in a rush, and spikes your blood sugar sky high. Then it metabolizes quickly, and your sugar level and energy level crashes, and you're dragging until you get your next sugar fix. That sets you up for the zoom/crash/zoom/crash cycle that can only be fixed by more sugar, hence the cravings.

I did the atkins diet and dropped 30 lbs, but I spiked my cholesterol by having too many real eggs for breakfasts. Try the egg beaters instead. Good luck, and hang in there - it's worth the effort!

Every weight loss diet sans surgey is based on 1 universal concept.
keeping total calories in less (eating) than total calories out(exercising).

How much you excercise is up to you. In terms of total calories in:
The theory behind low fat diet is that fat has more calories so eat less fat.
The theory behind the low carb diet is that eating less fat will make you still be hungry and therfore want to eat more.

The bottom line. Exercise more than you eat.

I am very lazy so i don't exercise alot. What I do is, everytime I want sweets, I make myself WALK to the store to buy it. And I only buy what I crave at that moment. Never buy more just to store around the house. You want to make it a big hassle to satisify the cravings. Soon my laziness took over and I just dont want the sweets anymore because its a pain to get them.Turn your weakness into strength:)

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)
