My security light is on, and I have checked the battery, it's fully charged. When I turn the key over the lights come on, but the car will not start. Sometimes the radio will come on, and other times it will read LOCKED. I thought if I disarmed the alarm that it may get my car to start. Any thoughts?

You will have to call a dealer to get the code to unlock your radio...it probably locked up because you disconnected or ran down the battery... I would call up a G.M. dealer and ask a service rep what you can do to unlock the radio... that will fix it

If the light is staying on, there is a malfunction in the airbag circuit and it needs to be fixed. It will probably NOT go off if needed, and if you should be involved in an accident where it fails it could lower your compensation because you knew if was defective and did nothing. If you are in a state where inspections are done, you have just failed that also. Flashing several times and then going off is expected behavior, staying on is the indication of a problem. This is one area where you don't want to get into do it yourself. Take it in and get it fixed. Added: This is one of those times to ignore dodge man. You don't have a check engine light and a stored error code, you have a dedicated airbag light lit, so you KNOW the problem. If you do have a check engine light, an auto parts store still won't be the best place to have it read, those reading are to sell you parts, and are only as good as whoever happens to be working the counter that day. Please have error codes checked by a competent mechanic or the dealer, not some auto parts store.

It sounds like the factory anti-theft function is disabling your car from starting. Did you recently use a new key ? If the anti theft (pats or vats) system doesn't see the correct key it won't let the car start.
E-mail me and I will try to diagnose the problem for you.
