Not for the General population. Its a drug so lets get real. We already have too many problems because some people abuse alcohol -eh?
I have seen it work with victims of Cancer and I believe that it can help. Too bad that the rest of the populous who is not sick can,t be selfless enough to just say ok legalize it for medical use only. But that's not going to happen because most advocates are smokers them selves. Its a tough situation i think. Just too bad because like i said I,ve seen it work when nothing else did.

Alcohol is legal and used in excess has cost far more than smoking an extra joint or two. Anything used in excess is wrong, prescription drugs for example, tobacco costs millions and millions in health care cost, it remains legal. Places such as Holland where it has been de-criminalized haven't fallen into chaos. Tax it, add the revenues to pay for lung cancer victims, alcohol re-hab clinics. Sure, there will always be abusers, just as boot-leggers and moonshiners have done with alcohol. You cannot drive drunk, you cannot smoke in most work places, make pot laws reflect those same principles.
