I disagree completely...mathematics is more about learning from others than any other subject I know...surround yourself with ppl no better than you, and you will never be challenged, and will lose ability over time. Work with someone who is constantly pushing your potential, you will be getting better every single day.

No I don't agree. Being lousy in a sports team means not being able to play the game well. Math has nothing to do with it. Even a non-graduate can make it to the national soccer team. However, if it's an academic team like a quiz team, the lousiness depends upon how good you are at Math.
