A diamond ring which belonged to my mother. It was her engagement ring, when she was alive I loved her but only when she was gone did I realise how much I missed her.
Sentimental but true. I wouldn't sell the ring (very valuable) for any price.

Without a shadow of a doubt it is my 42-year old Yellow Rubber Ducky. He is my one truly "priceless" possession (inanimate buddy). I can honestly tell you that I would NOT sell him for all the money in the world - everything else I own can potentially be sold or parted with. ... Many years ago, I had to jump out of a burning building, Rubber Ducky was the only treasure I grabbed before bailing out - and mind you, I really left some pricey and difficult-to-replace stuff behind in that fire. :-)

no treasured possession i own is without "life" each item has a history, whether a loved one gave it to me, or i earned it myself.
without that distinction, it would be clutter. garage sales are full of "treasures" that have lost their reasons to live.

I got this blanket when I was a baby from my parents' friend, and I bring it everywhere I go because I can't sleep without it.
