The Riviera is a fantastic region to visit. But in August it's overcrowded.I'd recommend to stay in a little resort instead of staying in a big city.
Airport : Nice (that's the only one)
Resort to stay : St-Jean Cap-Ferrat, Beaulieu, Villefranche sur Mer, Eze, Cap d'Ail
Places to visit : Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton, Eze, St-Paul de Vence,...
Have a great time there !

I wouldn't go the the Riviera in August it is very overcrowded and expensive. Can't you delay your honeymoon until the first week in september, the weather is still beautiful and most of the tourists have gone home (schools have restarted in UK, France and Holland). You will fly into Nice and you must hire a car to enjoy this beautiful area, get up into the hills inland and enjoy the ost spectacular scenery. Buy a Michelin Green Guide to the Riviera it is very easy to use and very comprehensive. Have a good wedding and Honeymoon!

First you'll land in Nice Airport, I would suggest you stay in Antibes City, which is on the coast between Cannes and Nice (central town) plus it is beautifull, a lot of Caché, very clean, nice helpfull people, it is a cultural place. I swear if you go there you won't be disapointed !

Are you aware that everyone in Europe vacations in August and the coastal locations are overrun during this time?
If you're interested in culture, August is a great time to go to Paris. Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Wish you lots of happiness in your marriage.
