This is what makes us great, independent thinking, coming up with new ideas, some good some not so good, but when people see a good idea the word can spread like a wild fire. Myself I would like to see the top Republican and the top Democrat running for President,go in to office as President and Vice President for four years than switch places for four years, vote every eight years.

That would be such a huge mistake--people would just claim that they are Independent to get into the White House, or claim they are Dems or Republicans to get elected.

And what about other parties? This country was never intended to have a bicameral congress. Many sincere and intelligent people would be left out, and party lines would become meaningless.

Simple way is banish all political parties and their fund raising apparatus and let every body run as independent on their own merit.POL PARTIES ARE ALWAYS LIKE ORGANIZED MOB.

Can someone please look up definitions of words before using them? A bicameral legislature means two separate Houses, which is exactly how the US Congress and a vast majority of the state legislatures were set up.
