not INXS as far as I know and not on his solo album, any ideas....?

Do you mean 'Passenger'? Michael Hutchence did a cover of the song, but I believe it was either Iggy Pop or Nick Cave that did the original.
I have got all of INXS back catalogue and its not on any of the albums. Neither is it on the MaxQ album he released in the early 90s.
Nor is it on 'Dogs in Space, OST, you could try looking on the other films that he appeared in, I know that if he starred in a film he usually also contributed to the soundtrack.

Just checked the IMDB web site and Passenger appears on the Batman forever soundtrack.
