Phillipines like any other country in the world, has rich and poor people, it is just not possible for everyone to be rich, most are poor, but particulary in Phillipines yes there are many rich people, Haiti for example is the poorest country in the world but yet there are a group of very wealthy people there..☺

Filipinos that are poor may be a result of low education, little job opportunities, crime, drugs, selfishness, corruption, over-population, and the will of the wealthy Filipinos to remain on top and get wealthier - only the wealthy will likely have the education and the capital to profit from the rich natural resources of the Philippines.

If the wealthy, the poor, and the government could collaborate on a national solution, then things could eventually make more sense as "rich filipinos in a wealthy country"

The Philippines has rich resources, places, and culture. There are so many rich/great places to see like Boracay, Palawan, Ilocos, Banaue, etc. It has a huge potential to be a rich country economically. Actually it was (a long time ago). There was a time when the Philippines was at the top economically in Asia. There are also promising people, but less opportunities to acquire education as well as acquire a job. Too bad that there's disappointing politics, graft and corruption happening in the country. Selfish/corrupt politicians (also underqualified ones) and all. Oh, there are a lot of issues happening in the Philippines.

The Philippines is a developing country or better known as a third world nation due to its economic status. Therefore, it is not a rich country in terms of financial power. It is rich in natural resources and the filipinos are rich in talent. Their are only two classes in the Philippines, the rich and the poor. The more money you have the more opportunites to expand on your wealth and vice versa with the poor.

Although people perceive the Philippines to be a poor and undesirable place to live, the filipinos are still first class citizens and should not looked down upon...It is the corrupt government who should be to blame...

The Philippines is rich in raw natural resources , most of which are not being used . (sometimes I think that may be a good thing) The Filipino people are rich in culture, beauty , and spirit . (unfortunately not many have large amounts of money .) I hope this was helpful .

the Philippines is rich in natural resources but the problem is, Filipinos have the tendency to be lazy..they want those 'get rich quick' schemes that never seem to work..also the Phils. has plenty of corrupt officials whose only existence in life is to exploit those who are less fortunate than them..resulting in a country whose citizens no longer cooperate with its government and that only makes everyone (except those in politics) even more poor than before..

The rootcause of all of this is CORRUPTION from the TOP LEADERS of the COUNTRY to the barangay level.
If only our politicians doesnt prioritize their own pockets, then everybody in the Philippines will benefit.
Filipinos lacks discipline since we come from more than 7,100 islands, different dialects makes people not understand each other therefore there is lack of communication in some cases.

It's not. Only a handful of Filipinos are wealthy there (5%). Those few with little exception got rich by stealing money from the other 95%.

Philippines are rich in culture, natural resources and population. Filipinos are poor because of the corruption in the government and powerful people, wrong use of the natural resources, over populated due to christianism and lack of discipline. Most of the talented or very talented persons works abroad because they are well paid off than here.

The country is rich in natural resources but most Filipinos lack discipline. That's the MAIN problem why our economy doesn't improve - lack of discipline....

Not all Filipinos are poor ( literally speaking)
