There are a plethora of Indian, and to a lesser degree Pakastani, fans who are just plonkers. Please don't misunderstand me, I don't suggest that all people from those two places are wankers. I am CERTAIN that there are huge numbers of admirable folk from the subcontinent who would make me look like a total fool, but really!!!
Just have a look - how long will it be till we see the next "How good is Sachin" question? A day? 6 hours? Now?
Or the next "How badly done by was Shoaib"?
You know what I mean people.
This is not meant to be a slur against any culture (I welcome the contribution to our great moasic of a planet, made by all) but more an appeal to the feeble minded to THINK BEFORE YOU ASK.

I am an Indian and I am too offended by the questions that people out here usually ask. I don't think they even check back for the responses. (Except for the ones looking for Pathan's cell number.).
I do admit that the language is a problem. But that shouldn't be an excuse for asking questions just for the sake of it.
I think this section clearly reflects the state of Indian cricket. Millions of fans, yes. But look at their understanding of the game. No wonder the Indian cricket board makes billions, without the team doing anything of significance on the field.
One more point: You are lucky that you don't have to read Indian cricket journalists as I have to do every morning. They are even more pathetic. It takes one century to make Sehwag the best ever Indian opener. And the next day duck makes him a player who has got into the team through his "connections".

yups u are right ,this forum is getting bored day by day, same question been asked again and again,
but i must say if indians and to lesser extend pakistanis had not contributed then this forum would have been dead....because there is least contribution from rest of the countries..and the reason why most of the questions are about india is that majority of the peoples are more intersted to put question about their own team, n as majority is from india so more question about indian team.though questions are repeated but i ,ll appreciate the contribution atleast
first thing is that there should be contribution from other countries too, not just from india and pakistan , and here ofcourse these two countries can't help ...but yes peoples should come up with something new and different , and realy this forum is least attractive regarding new things.....Well old users dont ask such question but the problem is they never ask....and these kind of question are usualy asked by new commers ,having no idea that this question been asked thousand times before ....so mainly two remedies are required, first more contribution from other countries as well, and secondly changing the type of question by askers...i guess with the approach of world cup, things will get better here.i hope!!!

A lot of people seem to use this forum as a sort of general knowledge cricket quiz, and ask questions that they clearly already know the answer to..just to see if anyone else is as clever as them.
Which all seems very pointless to me.
But Im not at all bothered about the general standard of English that is used...remember that a lot of Asian posters here will be young people who do not necessarily speak or write English as their first language. Most of the time it is perfectly understandable even if it is not couched in the correct grammar. Their grasp of English is considerably better than my grasp of Hindi, Urdu or Punjabi !!

Very true.
Another thing is that it is irritating when the questioner doesn't make the least effort to find the answer himself and expects it to be spoon-fed to him.
