Can you please share me some other knowledge about Africa aside from wild animals, and biggest desert? I need to teach my 1st grade students a short ryhme describing Africa. They're gonna represent this country on their X'mas presentation and I don't know how to describe Africa as a country. Thank you so much!

African drums, African drums,
Something 'bout your culture hums.
Must be your people,
must be your time,
Must be the rhythm
of your feet beating rhyme.

African drums, African drums,
Something 'bout your culture hums,
Must be your jungles, must be your rain,
Must be your wildlife, your forests and plains.

African drums, African drums,
Something 'bout your culture comes.
Spelling years of sun drenched haze
across the days of fields ablaze.

African drums, African drums,
Something 'bout your culture hums.
With the rhythm of your ancestry
and gifts of your humanity!
African drums African drums,
Something 'bout your culture hums.

First of all you need to know that Africa is a CONTINENT made up of more than 50 countries. Here are a few points.
Most of the ordinary people are:
-brown or black skinned
-very friendly
-God fearing
-poor
-hard working
-happy
-lovers of music, dancing and rhythm
-agriculturalists or herders of cattle, etc.
-have to struggle against water shortages and pests to grow there crops
-desire good education.

Most of the countries:
-suffered great human losses due to the slave trade
-were colonised by the Europeans
-were plundered by the colonialists
-had to struggle for their independence
-have long dry seasons
-have environments where water is precious
-have governments which are corrupt and/or unstable.

I hope these few points are helpful.
