I have a friend who owns a 2006 Scion xA. He is thinking of hooking up a trailer for the more. So, two questions ... 1.is there a recommended hitch for this car and 2. how much weight max can they pull?

don't do it that car has no wheel base and is front wheel drive with the smallest Toyota engine. You could Hitch something small to it but there are other cars out there who will be driving up his tail pipe. You do not go out to buy the smallest car and put a trailer behind it.

Don't tow, xA has no power. It's supposed to be an economical car.
But if you need to tow, you should get a red wagon and tie it to your license plate cover with some rope.

NO Towing.. I have the tc, and it says to use a flat bid. Your friend needs to read the owners manual!!!

Read the owner's manual: NO TOWING. It will negate his warranty.

You can't tow anything as you will void the warranty.
