The main point of this question is how to distinguish whether the science is modern or ancient.

The dividing line is the use of the scientific method: observation, hypothysis and experiment.

One of the earliest was Galileo's experiment with falling bodies using the Tower of Pisa.

The word 'modern' implies in the same time within which you exist.

The word 'ancient' implies in a time long past.

It's relative to where you are in the schemata.

yes there is, like i am now a college student..the science that i am studying now is know as classical science..example newton's law faraday's law and snell's law..once you enter your degree level..you will enrol in courses like mechatronics or aeronautics..this is where you are exposed to modern sciences such as nanotechnology...
