from Dell.
I want to know if I can play games such as Fifa or pro evo on the dell InspironTM 1501?
Can you really play games on a laptop, even simulation games such as Football manager.

Laptops generally do not have very impressive graphics sub-sytems as they are primarily limited by space and the inherent cooling requirements, also they focus more on 2D activities like office document editing. Generally, TFT screens are inferior to CRT screens anyway as they only support a low refresh rate that makes fast paced, high frame-rate 3D rendering blurry.

Laptops today have all the functionality of any desktop machine - you can proceed without worry.
Personally, though, I wouldn't touch Dell with a bargepole.
Why?
Their TV advertising has some really cute sounding woman in the voice-over saying something suitably trite like "Dell, how may I help you?"
But call the number and you'll get straight through to india - they (Dell) seem to hire all the indians who were rejected by IBM, Oracle, you-name-it.
Stop Offshoring by refusing to deal with the compnies that do it.
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE someone forward this to Dell.

I play games on my laptop without any problems. I would make sure you have a minimum memory of 1 GB and a good Graphic card i.e. 256mb.

laptop computers can be a rather tricky buy at times, I would suggest that you look out for the cheapest and yet latest desktop on the market, the best way to do this is on what they call warehouse sale markets some of them are online. these warehouse owners have a service where they sell laptop computers to normal customers like you and me, however with very reduced prices due to the fact that they do not have as much costs as normal shops do, such as rent and a employees etc. as you know most online shops have rather competitive prices sometimes cutting the laptop price to a half. one such website for laptop computers is :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

go for a laptop with RAM = 1GB+ , Graphics card = External/256MB preferably nVidia, XPSM1710 is good but expensive
F.Y.I pssthok: If Indians do not give customer support then the next option would be chinese!!/Russians!!! I suppose their english is more pleasant for your ears. Be grateful to Indians for their effort to give you service for peanuts.
