I don't worry about the Americans, especially not South Americans.
I do worry about the government and political culture of the USA.
I also worry about Stephen Harper, but that's really the same thing as the political culture of the USA.
I don't understand the part of your question about the French and winter. Both are integral and valuable parts of my country (Canada), and I really have a great affection for both. They both contribute to beauty and moderation in this country.

I don't know, but I always thought Americans and Canadians were friends and got along very well. I used to go every summer with my parents to Crystal Beach, Ontario and we loved it there. I know Niagra Falls (Canadian and American side) like the back of my hand. I always had a soft spot for Canadians. So why should you consider us Americans, something to worry about - as if we were something negative in your life? I really thought we were like brothers - culturally speaking. Well, am I wrong? I hope not.

I didn't know the Canadians worried about us; most of us are just going along from day to day like anybody else, trying to make a living and have a reasonably good life. I wouldn't have thought that was especially different from what Canadians want, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Because dealing with weird people and the winter has been done successfully over the years, but it looks like the present form of US American imperialism could make the whole world erupt in chaos.
