I like using Grandparents' names for their middle names, it's a nice connection. Don't go for the Hollywood names of the minute either, you kid will end up in the same class as 4 other Mia's or Lola's if she's a girl, and Chad and Maddox could be a teasing point! Write out different names with your last name too, and see how they sound together. It's best to have a list of your top 5 for each sex, and then when the baby is born you can look into their cute little faces and see what suit's them the best. There's also tons of sites on the net too, many of which will let you search names from different countries, give origins amd also what the name means. Nice to see a Dad take an interest, it's usually us Mom's who have already picked out names when we were like 9, lol
I will say though, my favourite girls' name of the moment is Belle, it means beautiful ;)

How wonderful it is to see a future father so involved in the pregnancy! =)
I'm all about unique names (because mine's unique!) It's difficult to give you ideas of good names, because everyone's opinion varies. Ask yourself key questions. Is family important to you? Incorporate a family name. Is the meaning of the name important to you? Also, make sure the names go with your last name. And remember that although middle names are wonderful, about the only place you'll see them are the birth certificate and high school diploma, so make sure that the first and last name go well together. Here are a list of my personal favorites:
Sophie Alexandra
Sophia Rose
Carmendy Renee
Ayla Alexandra
Aidan Mitchell
Tyler Nicholas
A nice type for a good, flowing name involves your own intuition and your last name. Try to take the last sound of the first name, make it the first sounds of the middle name. Try to make it so there are no two letters next to each other
EXAMPLE:
Aidan Nicholas Bishop
*The first and middle name connect nicely,
and there are no two alike sounds for two
consecutive names.
Aidan Nicholas Armstrong
*Be careful here. Although there are no two sounnds directly, "Aidan Armstrong" are double A's... in this case, it flows nicely, almost sounds like a future famous man =) There's an old saying that if your first and last names are the same inital, you will be popular.
Well- known Example, "Daisy Duke".
*ALSO, you may want to look up meanings of the names. Though not as important, wouldn't it be wonderful if you could call your daughter "strong and peaceful" growing up, or call your son "fair and peaceful". It'd be a good bonding activity to share the meaning of your child's name with them.
*ALSO, think about great grandmothers, aunts, unlces... anyone who has been of influence in yours or the mother's life. They make excellent middle names and forever adoration by the in-laws!!!
Ultimately, it comes down to intuition.
You, the mother, and the last name.
When you find the right one... you'll know.
And when you see your baby's face, and call him or her by their name for the first time... you'll be glad you put the effort and time into finding the perfect name for your perfect child.
Best of luck to you and that baby! Keep in touch, you hear? 9 months from now, I want to hear all about it =) Wish the mother good luck from me!

My boy is Orion James. I wanted something cool for a first name and something solid for a middle name. that way he can use James if he doesn't like Orion. However, my son has been nicknamed 'OJ Simpson'. lol
