I don't think so, but lots of people say we are.

I really hate the term "minority"! Is it supposed to be a nice way of discriminating other races than white people like me? I think that I'm a minority because I am an unwed mother and on the low end of the income status. But what difference does it make who is in office and who is running things as long as they are doing a good job?

I wish that we could have a black president one of these days so white people who like to use the term "minority" on black people would shut up!

If "minorities" are taking things over, more power to them! They have had to come along way in this country to get where they are today. It would be nice for Americans to judge people by character instead of skin color!!

I don't think we are taking over. In what sense, I haven't see any dramatic shift in politics favoring the minorities. In fact, I've seen many minorities still living in ghetto places and making low wages. How are they taking over?

No, they would not band the minority group of gay marriage if they were, (oddly enough when minority groups, start condeming other groups in society, then the group is no longer a minority but becomes a group of hatered and majority...I remember someone stating to another majority, you do not remember when your people was also fighting for equal rights.......things that make go hummmmm.)

Common sense dictated that to take over anything, you have to have the numbers to take control. If the minorities have truely taken over, then they would be called the minority, would they?

Depends on what you mean by "minorities", there, sugar. I think "people who are not like me" have been in charge of things for a long while. But they are actually a majority (there are not that many people like me).

Yes of course they are. Look at the recent election...among the "white" americans more then 60% voted republican, still the democrats won. Means minorities already took over in a way.

I don't say it's a bad thing they do...everybody who is legally in the states is a part of this country....just wish they would vote differently :)

I don't know about taking over but clearly it's more of us than them. We could seriously make some changes if we worked together.

Which minority are you talking about?

NOTE: The term minority is degrading and educated/progressive members of society have ceased using it, for obvious reasons. Please do the same.
