At times my flower horn would stay at one side of the tank and the other would go try to look for it, when it does, it chases the other one and suddenly I see them kissing or something. Is this a sign of fighting or are they mating?

They're trying to fight. If you lift that partition they will attack each other. 2" flower horn are still very young, I doubt they have the mating instinct yet :)

The Kissing is a form of fighting known as 'locking lips', something they use to gauge each others strength when size difference isn't enough. Flowerhorns are as about as aggressive a fish as you can get, and you can really only keep one in any typical sized household tank. The bigger they get, the meaner they get, and kept together it's only a matter of time before one kills the other.
