I was involved in a car accident 3 months ago and go to physio and "chiropractor" I say this, because the treatment I get are the modalities on my back. They're always on my back to make me go 3X a week, I don't personally think I need to go that often, but they always say the isnurance will wonder about my claim if I don't make my appointments as they had already submitted a 3X treatment plan.

Am I being ripped off. Does anyone know how my car insurance could re-act should I decide to change chiropractors?

Well, they do have a point...if you don't attend the treatments as shown, the insurance company will stop paying on your claim. Now, the bad part about this is, a back injury can come back at any time and get you again...and you definitely don't want them to not pay, especially if you need help again! So, no I don't think you are being ripped off, I have seen a chiropractor for about 3 years, and my experience was that I saw him 3 times a week for about a month, then twice a week, then once a week, and now, just when I feel I need to, but when I do need to, I see him a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks. Are you being ripped off? Not sure about that, maybe...and as for changing doctors, I don't think that will affect your insurance at all. Just tell them you are not sure the doctor you are currently seeing is right for you and you'd like a second opinion or that you would like to change doctors. Usually they are very accomodating.

If your not happy with your chiropractor than by all means find a new one. Your insurance company can't do anything if your not comfortable going, as a matter of fact it's because of the insurance company you want to change in the first place,, I don't really think though their ripping you off. My sister had a pinched nerve in her neck, which gave her terrible back pain for a long time. Her chiropractor started her out 3 times a week for about two and a half months, then went down to 2 times a week when she was feeling better, the once a week......Now she goes about once a month.. He has helped her alot..If your insurance is paying for it why do you care how many times you have to go, so long as it's helping you.

The insurance would investigate your chiropractor if they thought something was going on. Are you getting better? Do you know enough about your injuries and their repair to set up your own regime of treatment?

The thing about going to a chiropracter is it's not the same as going to a medical doctor. It does require many visits to get your spine adjusted to the right form. After your spine begins to hold the adjustments, he will lower the amount of times you should visit. I don't know of any chiropracter (been to 4 in my lifetime)that gives you one or two adjustments and have you back to 100%. They are sincere when they say it will take time. Perhaps you should have gone to a medical doctor and physical therapist?

it style of all comes right down to how good your coverage is.. and how lots scientific insurance it has on it... Now, in case you call up your insurance employer they could bypass over your coverage with you and customarily in case you ought to bypass to a doctor in case you have been in an twist of fate, the dr will request a lien or different information of fee via the insurance employer. (basically they like information that your insurance employer has a declare open for you and has agreed/would be paying scientific charges on your behalf). with the aid of fact the guy who hit you is uninsured... your insurance employer could bypass after them for the cost of your scientific charges... i could first call your insurance employer and then according to what they permit you already know, it particularly is rather useful to seek for advice from an lawyer in case you sense the ought to sue the uninsured motorist... yet while they don't have insurance, and that they have got been making use of on an revoked license/expired tags... likely you wont get something out of them.

Contact your insurance and see what they say. They can ask for you to be sent to someone that they trust for a second opinion. In your case, this may be a good thing. Good insurance companies ask for a progress report and if you are not progressing, they will ask for you to go somewhere else.

Contact your insurance and ask them. That way if there is any fraud going on you won`t be liable.
