my mate has just found out that she is pregnant , and i know i can't make any decisions for her but the father of the baby is violent , she had problems with him before and they arn't together anymore, I don't think. I love her to bits and i don't want him to hurt her or the baby , she has been such a dear friend to me and been a shoulder for me to cry on , and has always been there for me. i love her to bits. Congrats babes. x

It is real hard to be strong in a violent relationship and the fact she is away from him i commend her. I guess long term now is the fact that possibly the father is going to want her back and wether she can stay strong for this and protect herself and her unborn child. And also after the child is born for visitation rights it would be good for her to be in contact with a counsellor so if he can have visitation the counsellor may be able to step in and say supervised access only.Unfortunatley now matter how much you love her you can only be there for her and hope she feels strong enough to do this on her own but if she chooses to go back you cant control that either. Best of luck

Like the others say just be there for her, tell her how you feel and give her advice and just hope she takes it. She will need you even more when the baby arrives. If by any grim chance she is still in a relationship with him, and i hope to god she is not then she will need your love and support even more. You sound like a very sincere friend and they are hard to come by so just keep on doing what you,re already doing and give my best wishes and congratulations to your friend. God bless you both.
