It may be hard to tell if your nose is broken. Swelling can make your nose look crooked even if it is not broken. When the swelling goes down after a few days, it is easier to tell if your nose is really crooked. Most health professionals prefer to evaluate an injured nose soon after the swelling has gone down. Sometimes testing, such as an X-ray or computed tomography (CT) scan of the head, may be needed if other facial fractures are suspected.

hope that helps

Maybe not. I hit my nose while ice skating and it didn't break. It could be that it's just a bit fractured. Go to the doctor to get some medication that will help to bring the swelling down. Use lots of ice and give it time. Mine took a three weeks to look ok again.

The only way to know if you have broken your nose or not is to see your GP. Swelling of the nose does not necassarily mean it is broken. If it is broken then you can have this manipulated under anaesthetic but this has to be done within 10 days as the bones start to heal. Hope that helps

Well the most important thing is to make sure that it is not out of it's usual shape. If you knocked it over a bit it may heal twisted. You should see a doctor if it is not looking right. With a broken nose you get blackening around the eyes. You seem to be a bit accident prone! Remember be true to yourself!

You really should see a Doctor about that; that way an xray can be taken and it can be determined if you did break your nose.

you should really go to the doctor before it tries to heal itself becasue my sister fell onto marble and cracked her cheek bone, and she did not go to the doctor when they would have been able to do something, but now she has to have an operation the correct it
