In my first semester in college I did a book report about The End of the Affair, a wonderful book by Graham Greene. It's a classic but the great thing is that you can write the report about the differences between the original story of the novel and the Hollywood version told in the movie by Neil Jordan. The two endings are completely different and I focused my paper on that. Read the book first (trust me!) and then watch the movie. You'll see it clearly and you can pick what you think is best and stretch your opinion. Personally, I think Hollywood ruined it because the whole essence and message of the novel lays in the choice made by the main character (Sarah Miles, played by Julianne Moore). Besides, there's lots of info on both the book and the novel on-line to get an inspiration on what to write. Good luck!

It depends on the criteria of your book report. Are you just reporting on content? Are you summarizing the book? Are you arguing the book? I believe that some of the best books to use for book reports are non-fiction books that involve current events. Shakepeare is a good person to model your book report after because you can otuline the characters, their roles and the plot and outcome and theme of the play just by reading an online summary of the play or the openeing of any of the plays that usually tell you what is going to happen in the whole book....

look at Hamlet it is a good one to start, or Oedipus Rex, or even Romeo and Juliet.

i think you need to be more specific on what type of school you're in, like middle or high, maybe college.
BUT if your in middle scholl i'd have to say either Tongues of Jade, Child of the Owl, or Gilda Joyce; Physic Investagator.
