When you buy new clothes, purses, etc. Do you put them in the closet, then take them out at a much later date so when your husband asks where it came from, you can "honestly" say "I've had this, it's been in my closet"?
Isn't it great?

I don't do it because of money, or because he'll get mad. Sometimes I just don't want to hear stuff like "how many pink tops do you need"? Especially when he's right.

Sometimes I bring the things home that I bought and show him right away-as mentioned, like show 'n' tell-other times I put the things I bought somewhere, like in the closet, because I'm in a hurry or distracted and actually forget about what I bought until later-sometimes a week later or more! It's crazy, I know; I don't know how I could do that myself. Then when I finally show my man, he asks when I got that stuff? Then we laugh as I explain about how I was so excited to buy the item(s) but yet forgot about them and just found them again-so I can get excited all over again! So I don't need to hide things-I'm very open with him and I surprise myself every now and then by forgetting what I bought and one of us finding it later.

I always come home and say " yeah, look at all the stuff I got today"!!! Then I show my husband everything that I bought. It's like show and tell. He probably wishes I would just hide it so he wouldn't have to amuse me by pretending to be interested in all of the "deals" that I got at the store. :)

When i have new purchases, im always on cloud nine. So it make my husband very happy. And he'll ask that i put them on and he'll tell me which he liked or don't. Funny he never ask about the prices unless that certain piece looks really expensive.

My hubby and I are split. I have a live in boyfriend, but why should I hide the things that I buy? I have my own money and he has no say so on how I spend it. Just like I have no say so on how he spends his money on as long as the bills are paid.

No, I've got a great hubby who is very easy to get along with. Most of my best clothes come from thrift stores and I got some great bargains.

I never do that, that's just silly. But then again, I don't buy new things very often. I always let my hubby know, and usually we do our shopping for new clothes together, on the rare occasions that we are able to.

not really, one thing that i have a bad habit of doing though is making big purchases to surprise my husband and i don't tell him, because i am trying to "surprise" him, but he gets aggravated because i did not tell him. however, i think he is happy. for example, i just bought new furniture to be delivered after first of the year. he does not know it yet. needless to say, he will be surprised, but hopefully happy.

Never. I have my own job and my own income, so shouldn't have to justify to him what I spend my money on. If he can go to the pub every night with his mates after work, he's in no position to be nit-picking my spending habits.

no i do not. i work, i earn money and put as much of it into the pot as he does. if i need or want something i get it. i am somewhat frugal though. but i do love purses.
