Well, I'm not really one for doing nice things for people - but the other day I was queueing behind a lady whose shopping came to a bit more than she expected - and she was trying to decide what to put back.

I really, really felt for her, and offered to pay the difference. It was only about £4. Actually, I felt quite pleased that I could do that, as I've been in her situation many times in the past.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything - horrible, aren't I?!!

I remember I was in a dollar store and this older lady came in and asked for a watch battery. The clerk couldn't open the back of the watch. Since I worked at a jewellery store I volunteered to help. i opened it up took out the watch battery and told the clerk the size. When he couldn't find the battery, I took a look around the pile and found it. I put the battery in the watch but couldn't put the lid back on and that's when the clerk took the watch and it snapped right in.

This lady was in tears, she was so happy. She went off to tell me that it was her husbands watch and he died a few months ago from cancer.

It made me feel real good.

I think the nicest things I have ever done for people I have never told them about, protected peoples reputations and fought for them without them even knowing. material wise I surprised an ex with a night out at the theatre, a really swanky and expensive restaurant in chelsea and finished off with a night in a hotel nearby. we ended up having a big row!

I gave my heart and soul to my first love and she did a RIVERDANCE on it with stiletto heels,

but the there is good news, after being dumped she came back 6 years later and admitted she had done me wrong and she had made a mistake and wanted to start again

I had moved on and was blessed with meeting my partner and there was no difficulty in saying No

good things do happen to some people, BTW - It is Nice to be Nice
