No, you don't. Because it is a choice on how you spend your money. Although I don't know the circumstances in which you feel forced to spend money on your parents and "sacrifice your life," it is always a choice how you want to live your life. However, this choice does not consider morals or ethics.

What is the circumstance that requires you to spend your money on your parents? What are the consequences of not "sacrificing your life" as you put it? Would you be able to live with yourself if you choose not to? Would you survive (basic necessities such as food, shelter, etc) if you choose to?

Your question is vague so I'm sorry I can't be more specific in my answer but there are a lot of factors in a question of this weight and many situations come up in my mind that would have different considerations. Really though, it's ultimately up to you.

If you care for your parents now you will set a good example for your children so that when it is time for you to be taken care of, they will know the right things to do!

Stop being so selfish. Your parents changed your diapers for years; now its time to give something back to them!

I don't really know your situation --but I do know my parents sacrificed alot for me. There is a limit of giving though so if they really-really need your help make them do a budget. Give when you see the need.Good luck.
