The vin # is on the steering head on the right hand side of the bike if its not there look for file marks, you may have picked up a stolen bike.

VIN isnt always on steering head but it will be there somewhere. Old Honda's had it stamped on left side above rear engine mount. It may only be 9 or 11 digit if is older than 1980

There should be a VIN on the bike somewhere.
If you can't find it, I'd suggest taking to a dealer (of that make and model) and ask them. The sales people should be able to tell you just by looking at it, if they know their stuff.

Take a couple of pictures (L&R side views) of your bike and bring them to an authorised dealer of that brand of bike. Bring them to the parts department (I doubt if sales would want to be bothered). I know for sure that Honda makes a model finder manual. Other manufactures should have something similar.

Why no VIN? Is it Chinese or something? Without a VIN all anyone can do is guess...
