Use the Boom, you have to leave the house & take the pets with you, it works Great, I use to work for a moving storage company, alot of time the customers had a bad case of roaches, we did not want them to spread, just set off the can, then leave out!!
if they are coming from out side there is a gel you can use at the doorways, Raid makes it.

You can purchase professional sprays at most exterminating places, without the pricey cost of them doing the job for you. Or at a home department store like Home depot or lowe's.
A home remedy for kitchen counter were food is prepared, place slices of cucumbers around, this will chase roaches to were you sprayed, roaches hate cucumbers!

hope this helped, GOOD LUCK!

Boric acid bait- mix 1 part boric acid powder w 1 part margarine and 1 part powdered sugar= mix well and make into little balls- set on piece of wax paper and put in cabinets- behind and on side of fridge and stove- and anywhere near where they may hide- and put flour, cornmeal and food like that in freezer or containers so the roaches won't get to it- and throw out paper bags and cardboard boxes and seal around pipes under sinks w steel wool- wash dishes everynight or sooner- or they will be crawling on them - gross- D

Live very cleanly, buy 3 or 4 cans of DOOM spray, spray everywhere they are, wash your kitchen/house from top to bottom with a mild ammonia based cleaner, remove all rubbish/detritus from living area that will attract them. They are apparently the only living things that can survive a nuclear war, good luck.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk
