Bettethusian [Bet-thoo-zee-uh n] -Noun An ambiguous term that is used to convey ones inability to express an opinion about a particular topic, especially literature. Generally, the term is used as a ruse between two individuals amidst a large group of people whereby the utterer states the word with confidence to a knowing accomplice who, upon hearing the utterance, behaves in a manner that conveys a favorable impression of the speaker's vocabulary. A word whose meaning can never be interpreted incorrectly, especially if the recipient is intoxicated. The source of much confusion for those not knowing it's definition. -Synonyms: antibettethusian, neobettethusian, prebettethusian, quagmire, faux bettethusian, -Antonyms: none. It is impossible to convey an opposite meaning. -Origin First uttered in a casual conversation between unknown 21st Century scholars prior to their rise to fame and subsequent alcohol afflicted demise. Further etymological analysis was available, but the authors of this dictionary believed doing so would be Bettethusian.

Well I think it's because they are really just curious, it's a fantasy for them and they confuse it for bi-sexuality. Look how often we see post in here with woman wondering if they are bi, all they ever talk about is the sexual side of that desire, they never talk about emotional desires or connections. Yes of course there are people that are truly bi, I however would have no way of telling you how to discern the difference between the curious and the people that have it figured out. I also think that for some people, it's possible that when they see how much more difficult it can be to be in a same sex relationship, how society will look at them differently and their families may not accept it, they "chicken out" after all they have the option of looking for love with a person that society as a whole is going to accept, so they go the easier route, and just deny themselves the life they want to live.
