relating structures......?

Question

How can I relate the structure of Mitochondrion, to it's function?

I did it as part of a project and thought i'd done really well, but my tutor doesn't seem to think so. She said i didn't answer the question properly :\

Can someone help me please because i've looked up loads on the Mitochondrion but nothing really says anything i didn't already say

The mitrochondrion is the powerhouse of the cell, or the battery that gives it the energy it needs. Hope this helps.
