I would like to say that something happens and you just know, and that may be true for some people.
Personally I knew that I was in love, but was waiting for the fireworks, sparks, or whatever the films/books tell you will happen when true love hits you.
They never happened, but I am still happy with my choice 10 years and 2 kids later.
The most important thing about being in love is that you are in love with your best friend. Someone who you can tell anything too, are totally relaxed with, and can rely on with your life.
I hope that helps.

I've never fallen in love before, but I know what true love is when I see it.
I think the only major love I have in my life is the love I carry for God and for my religion. And I'm definitly sure that it's not just lust or infatuation, because I've never felt that it has changed or faded away. Day by day it just seems to increase, and rise higher then ever.
That's what I see as true love.
Peace.

That is why God wants you to wait on the sex part. It help a great deal to decipher love from lust, however you may still lust after a person even before having sex. Test your love and see if it is patient, kind, free from envy, isn't boastful, isn't conceited, doesn't act improperly, isn't selfish, isn't provoked, doesn't keep a record of wrongs, finds no joy in unrighteousness, but rejoices in truth, bears all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. If the things listed above don't apply with the "love" you feel, then it is not love.

True love is a feeling, you will know it when you feel it. Yes, I have thought I was in love and it did change overnight, this is infatuation, not love. True love grows and expands, infatuation shrinks and desimates.

everyone has their own definition of true love, and each version may be unique. i have two different stories... the first one was just internet fondness 'till the day i finally met her. the other story... she was a long time crush until i was invited to be a part of their group. after graduation, we kept going out. i guess i really fell for her when we were doing a project together in the floor of my room.

In my experience i have come to understand that there are no standard to explain what love is.but the only love that i can stand up for is the one from God thats unconditional and unquestionable.so always count on that love to guide to determine what real and tue love is.

Like she is an extention of me, and when I do something for her its like i'm doing it for myself. Like a team.
Like you dedicate your life to making her happy, without thinking twice because you know that she is going to make you happy in return.
- And her happiness IS MY happiness.
