Heh ... welcome to my world.
It's common after being mistreated or abused too many times to build walls around yourself for self protection. I built steel plated ones last time around, lol. The problem is .. eventually you let someone inside a little, and the further they get inside those walls, the better a chance for them to crumble. If you let the wrong person in, they get inside only to start tearing the walls apart gleefully, leaving you more open and susceptable. Eventually, you build walls high enough and strong enough that noone can get through.
The problem with that is ... although other people can't get in, you also can't get out, and you get trapped inside your own fortress of protection.

Mine could rival the great wall of China in length, but yes, it's more like one of those old stone walls in some far-off place in a faerie tale. Crumbling ~ but in a good way, a memorable one :)

If I would have done that when it comes down then it would take me down with it so no I don't build walls I build roads that will lead me to where I need to be.

I tend to live my life with a wall around me.....very few have access to the inside!!!!!!

I built my wall in 1960.
Only my grandkids can make it slide side-ways.
It's firmly in place otherwise.

i did. LITERALLY. me and my friend built index card castles around us until someone would spot us and ran to us cus they love demolishing paper castles
