im using this printer for business purposes and is connected thru LAN. there is no prob with the head it prints clearly. but someone has tried to print a jpeg format and mistakenly send it to my printer. how can i delete the memory from the printer if so. i cant purge the print docs coz it is not shown on my printer dialog

i have already removed and reinstalled the driver. and it is an impact printer. would it be possible to reset the cmos to delete unknown qeued documents. everytime i start my computer and printer on automatically it prints garbage texts

1. Check if driver is properly installed and not corrupt or anything (Reinstall Driver). Also try printing with another software, it is possible that the application you're using to print has defective print function.
2. Check if nothing disturbs the printer's head.
3. Check it that you don't put the black ink on the color place and color ink on the black place (although I'll be amazed if the problem is that, printers are usually designed so that you won't be able to put them in the wrong place)
4. Check if if the ink type used is correct.

The printer head needs maintenance. There a small piece of (eponge in french) that cleans the head everytime it comes and goes. this piece is too old now. If it's not changeable...you better change the printer.
