The blackened teaspoon and lighter are usually the weapons of self destruction that the corpse in the bathroom used.It is fairly normal to find those tools on the table just before you discover the idiot who used them,blue and cold on the floor with cockroaches running all over them and an empty syringe beside them.
In real life,people who play with those spoons do not get academy awards and massive box office profits.They just get a cheap box and a grave in the paupers section.If you ever see anyone with such items,you are in the wrong place.Get out and do not go back.

heroin is a destructive, dirty and nasty drug.
silver foil and lighters, mean much the same thing.

a spoon and a lighter found together, and not in the kitchen..
this is a sign of drug use..either for cooking up junk to freebase or to inject..
it is really not a normal or a good thing to find, unless your a junkie..
This explains why people freak out..

most likely because of drugs. I know meth can be made using home made chem labs and some forms of cocaine can be turned into others using one also.
