31" x 14" x 12" = 85.34 litres or 22.58 gallon
48" x 14" x 14" = 154.17 litres or 40.79 gallon

Oh, btw we don't usually fill our tanks to the rim. So if you need to calculate the volume for medication purpose, do remember to estimate the percentage of the tank you've filled and calculate from there.

Here's how to measure and calculate the volume of your aquarium.

- Measure your aquarium from the left edge to the right edge. For example, your aquarium measures 31 inch.

- Measure your aquarium from the bottom edge to the top edge. Your aquarium is 14 inches.

- Measure the aquarium along the side from the front edge to the back edge. Your aquarium is 12 inches.

Multiply the three measurements. I got my small calculator and carefully entered 31 x 14 x 12 = 5208 cubic inches. Then multiply that number by 0.00433 to convert from cubic inches to gallons. I got 22.55064 gallons of water in your aquarium. One gallon equates to 3.7854118 liter. So, 22.55064 multiplied by 3.7854118 yields 85.1959921 liter.

For the 48" x 14" x 14" aquarium equates to 154.204958 liter.
