I have an IUD, (sence 9/18/06) And had my follow up on 10/31 and my husband and I had sex that night. I am now having the same symptoms that I did when I got pregnant with my son. My nipples hurt(but i am breast feeding so that could be the answer to that), and I had a desert piza tonite and it tasted like lettuce mixed with grass and the bread stickees tasted like garlic cinimon. I also had 2 wine coolers and in 1 hour i peed 5 or more times, this same exact stuff was happening to me when we found out I was pregnant last time. I know the chance of getting pregnant with an IUD is less the 1% so what could cause the symptoms...I dont know when my last peroid technically would be because i have been bleeding sence they put the IUD in in September. So I did an online Due date calculator with the approximate conception day as 10/31 and it said I would be 4 weeks today. im scared my son is only 4 months old. I'm worrid durring the check of the IUD something happened, like it got moved.

Chance of pregnancy on the IUD is 0.1% chance of pregnancy when having tubes tied is 0.5% so your most likely not alot of times we do get paranoid and may see symptoms that aren't really there or our mind tricks our body. So I really would worry if you would be 4 weeks then take a home test to ease your mind. You do not have to use protection after insertion of IUD I had sex the same day I came home and no pregnancy yet (knock on wood)

The doctor who gave you the IUD should of told you that if you have pregnancy you need to get to the doctor
Yes very rare does a woman get pg with an IUD but it happens

sure. i've known TWO people that have gotten pregnant with an IUD. one person had a tubal pregnancy (which i guess is normal when you get pregnant with an IUD in place). the other person ended up having the IUD removed because she had a viable pregnancy! call your doctor and ask for a quantitative HCG blood test (pregnancy test).

Alcohol can make you pee a lot- Iud s usually don't come out that easy- also can you feel the tip or strings to your IUD- if so it is in place- you could still be pregnant- it is possible- take test when your period is late- I have a neigbor that got pregnant w an iud- take care- D

Sorry to say, but it sounds to me like you are pregnant. Rather go to your doctor so he can do blood tests and all that is neccesary. Good luck, enjoy your baby they grow up so fast.
